Oi everyone.

man its been a while since either of us has actually sent a general email, but we have been so busy and time has been flying by. I got heaps of stuff to share with you. last Sunday on the 16th we went to this huge outdoor concert called Big Day Out. they hold one every year at the same spot and heaps of bands come and play. the show up this year was about 60,000 people watching bands like the Foo Fighters, Xzibit, Mellincolin, Queens of the stone age, and heaps of DJs and other crazy bands, there must have been about 50 different performers going on all over the place. they hold it at Griffith University, one of the main unis here on the gold coast, we actually meet a lot of canadians who go there to study. we started off that mornig bright and early and walked our way to the uni, having a few beers on the way, if we even would have tried to drive we would have been stuck in traffic longer than it would have taken us to walk there. when we got there we went to the back entrance which was apparently the shorter line up but there must have been about 2000 people in line or something, the line actually curved, you'll see the pic when I get it developed. when we got in the gates it was crazy the amount of people who were there, it was like 2 of our towns all partying in the same place. nuts. two of the girls we work with were running a concession stand and they hooked us up all day with burgers and sandwiches and water and coke, good thing otherwise we would have been out about 50 bucks just for food, its a monopoly I tell ya. the tickets alone were 100 bucks a piece and then beer inside wasn't cheap either, definitely a good day and worth every cent.

later that week on wed we went up to the Australia zoo on a mission to find Steve Irwin. because of our job our boss Lisa hooked us up with free tickets to get in, that way we know a little bit of the stuff to do around the gold coast vicinity. what a great job eh, too bad we didn't get paid while we were up there, hahah, that's asking a bit too much I figure. we saw all the spots they feed the crocs, we recognized them from the show, and we saw the billabong where Steve got his hand bit and all that. they got some huge crocs there its unbelievable how aggressive they are. we didn't get to see Steve which was a real downer but at least we got to pet a couple kangaroos, sorry no koalas, see a couple crazy crocs and check out a zoo for free.

yesterday we hit up shooters a bar in town which was showing the super bowl on the big screen, good way to get some action from back home. they were showing it at 11 in the morning cause of the time difference so we have to book it off of work, that day was pretty much a right off, Travis hurled downtown on a curb, I didn't get to see it too bad cause I would have laughed my ass off if I did. I'm sure ill see the mark when I start work later today.

well that's a little bit of what has been going on lately around here, there is heaps more to talk about but I'm sure not everyone has got the time to read long ass emails and those of you who have written me give me some time and I will try and get on top of those emails as quick as I can. I just wanted to write a quick general one to tell everyone were still alive and kicking and remember this good saying.....no news is good news.........

cheers, -Oliver and Travis

hello everyone,

things are great with Oliver and I we have been very busy and have been having the time of our lives. we have done so many awesome things in the last little bit like we went to Big Day Out witch is a hudge outside concert with real good bands like foo fighters, xzibit, 28 days, Queens of the stone age, the vines, machine gun filatio, janes addiction, pacifire and mellencolin so it was amazing.

we also got real lucky and got to go to the Australia Zoo to see Steve Erwin but he wasn't their so we were a little disappointed but it was still worth it as we got in for free because of our jobs. we also did a photoshute for a magazine from Brisbane so that was also a cool experience.

we have met some real good people and a lot of great friends, we went to watch the super bowl yesterday with three guys from Cambra and we got hammered, it was bad today when we woke up but it was a great time. well I'm going to go for a surf now but I hope everyone if doing good and all the best.
